Reinstallation on Android

It is important to understand that due to high level of customization of Android OS the steps from the following guide might differ from what you will see on the actual phone. However, all the menu sections are similar and you will be able to easily find your way through. For example, instead of ‘Applications’ you might see ‘Apps’.‘Application manager’ or Manage Applications.

In general the procedure consists of 3 simple steps:

  1. Disconnect current device from mSpy account

Open your account in our system (mspyonline.com) and in the Device Management choose Re-install mSpy button.

    Important!
You will have two options while disconnecting the phone from your account – to keep logs or remove logs. That is applied to all the data that you have on your account. If you chose Keep logs you will still have all the information on the account. Otherwise everything will be erased.

  2. Uninstall mSpy from the target device (skip this step if the device was formatted)

    1. Take the target device in your hands and open Settings -> Security -> Device Administrators and uncheck ‘Update Service’.

    2. Then go to Settings -> Application Manager (or Apps), tap on the ‘Update Service’ (for 4.12.3.1 mSpy version and higher) or ‘system.process’ (for 4.12.2.2 mSpy version and lower) and click Uninstall.

Now the mSpy application is removed from the target device!
Please note that if the Uninstall button in ‘Update service’ (for 4.12.3.1 mSpy version and higher) or ‘system.process’ (for 4.12.2.2 mSpy version and lower) is unavailable (grayed out), it means that you’ve missed Step 1 of this guide.

  3. Now install mSpy again

Now your Control Panel should transform into the Installation Wizard that you need to follow with old (in case of reinstall) or new (in case of target device change) target device in your hands. Your registration code is always available on the third step of the installation wizard.
